With more than 30 years of experience, Roger Chapin is President of Chapin Communications, a full-service public affairs firm in Orlando. Roger’s focus includes public affairs, public relations, business development, government relations and strategic visioning for clients and companies in Central Florida and throughout State of Florida. High focus in the areas of transportation, tourism, new business development, construction and complex development projects. Emphasis representing clients to the public as well as before government bodies and regulatory agencies.
An Orlando native, Roger has been a part of almost every major governmental board, initiative and campaign in Central Florida. He has served as Chairman of the City of Orlando’s Municipal Planning Board, Chairman of the Downtown Development Board & Community Redevelopment Agency, Vice Chairman of Orange County’s Charter Review Commission and was campaign co-Chairman of the only successful citizen led ballot initiative in Orange County to create the position of Orange County School Board Chairman. In addition, he recently served on the Orlando Community Construction Committee (OCCC), the board responsible for oversight and construction of Orlando’s Dr. Phillip’s Center for the performing arts.
Roger is a commissioner for the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), appointed by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer in 2023. OUC is the second largest publicly-owned utility in Florida and 14th largest in the country with nearly 300,000 customers.
In addition to representing his own clients at Chapin Communciations, Roger also serves “of counsel” for the national public affairs firm - Align Public Strategies - as well as “in-house” Vice President of Public Affairs for Mears Transportation in Orlando.
